On 17 March 2011, Minister of Sport and Tourism Adam Giersz took part in a press conference closing the campaign promoting Polish tourism at ITB in Berlin 2011. The meeting with the media was also attended by Ms Katarzyna Sobierajska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Mr Rafał Szmytke, President of the Polish Tourist Organisation, and Mr Jan Wawrzyniak, Director of the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Berlin.

Polish Presidency patronages - promotion of the Presidency through sport
On December 10th 2010, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Sport and Tourism concluded a cooperation agreement concerning the promotion of the Polish Presidency through sport. The agreement was signed on behalf of the ministers by Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, Government Plenipotentiary for the Preparation of the Government Administration for the Polish Presidency in the EU Council, and by Katarzyna Sobierajska, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
No to racism in sport
The ‘No to racism in sport' conference was held on December 2nd 2010, at the Olympic Centre of the Polish Olympic Committee (POC) in Warsaw. The event was organised by the Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, with support from the Polish Olympic Committee and the NEVER AGAIN Association.
Orlik sports field No. 1500 opened
The programme ‘My Sports Field - Orlik 2012' has reached another milestone. Poland's 1500th Orlik was opened in Skarżysko Kamienna on November 19th 2010. It is the second Orlik sports field built in this town and the thirty-third in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
On safety during UEFA EURO 2012
A delegation of experts from the Standing Committee of the European Convention on Spectator Violence and Misbehaviour at Sports Events and in particular at Football Matches (T-RV) visited Poland on November 15-18, 2010. This was a consultation visit concerning the safety of UEFA EURO 2012.
Twins will be the mascot of the championship
570 days before the opening match of EURO 2012, UEFA presented in Warsaw the official mascots of the championship. Just as four years ago during the European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland, a pair of humanoids will be the mascots of the championship to take place in Poland and Ukraine. The mascots wear the national colours of the two countries: white and red, and yellow and blue, respectively. Warner Bros, who had created, inter alia, Bugs Bunny, was in charge of the design.
We now know the logos of Polish host cities
On October 27th 2010, Minister of Sport and Tourism Adam Giersz took part in the presentation of the official logos of Polish host cities of the UEFA European Football Championship EURO 2012.
