At the ceremonial gala in Paris, Aleksander Wojciechowski was recognized by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) as the trainer of 2008. Congratulations!
International Tourism Film Festival
On November 7, 2008, in the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, a ceremony was held during which awards for the 20th Tourism Film Festival CIFFT were granted. The jury of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festival chose “Lodz – City of Culture” as the best film of 2008.

UEFA statement after the visit to the Polish side of the UEFA EURO 2012 project
UEFA positively assesses the last few months of preparations to EURO 2012 in Poland. UEFA believes that the project is managed professionally, in line with best practises and in close co-operation with UEFA experts. UEFA also expresses its satisfaction that the project is fully supported by all political forces, especially the Prime Minister and the President. Both UEFA and the Polish government emphasize that the next four years will require substantial effort. However, if the project is continued to be managed in the same manner as in the past few months, it will be a success. The Minister of Sports and Tourism, responsible for the organization of UEFA EURO 2012 and PL.2012 company appointed by him, closely co-operate with the governments of host cities and Polish Football Association which guarantees the full implementation of the project. All commitments are completed In due time.

Agreement between organizers of EURO 2012
On 28 March 2008 an agreement was signed in Kiev between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine concerning cooperation during the organization of the final tournament of the UEFA EURO 2012.
