Presentation of the Polish Presidency’s achievements in the field of tourism

On 23 January 2012 in Brussels, a meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) was held at which Ms Katarzyna Sobierajska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Sports and Tourism presented the achievements of the Polish Presidency in the field of tourism

Special scheme on occasional international road carriage of passengers

Please be advised that on 1 January 2012 on the website of Ministry of Finance the following communication was posted:
"Since 1 January 2012 foreign entities supplying services of occasional international road carriage of passengers within the territory of Poland, by buses registered outside the territory of the country, can enjoy the possibility of simplified procedure of registration and settlement of VAT, according to art. 134a-134c of Goods and Services Tax Act of 11 March 2004 (Journal of Law of 2011, Nr 177, item 1054).

"50.000 tourists"

On 16 December 2011 in Warsaw will be held the International Conference on the European Commission initiative "50.000 tourists". This initiative is the implementation of recommendations included in the Commission Communication entitled "Europe, the world's No 1 tourist destination - a new political framework for tourism in Europe", COM (2010) 352, in particular prevention of seasonality, increased availability of jobs, strengthen the image of Europe and cooperation with third countries.
